Over the course of the offseason, Buckets Over Broadway will be doing year-end report cards of the New York Knicks roster. The roster experienced a decent amount of overhaul this season, so we’ll simply be covering the core players of the 2012-13 team. However even when White started, he didn’t play much. On the season he averaged only 7.6 minutes per game and chipped in only 2.2 points per game. White shot 43 percent from the field and 34 percent from behind the three-point line, but his biggest moment of the season actually came during All-Star Weekend when he failed miserably during the dunk contest. This collection of notes tries to explore some of the areas in which understanding psychology could radically alter the way they structure their businesses. The results may challenge some of your most deeply held beliefs. This collection of notes aims to explore some of the more obvious behavioural weaknesses inherent in the ‘average’ investment process. Seven sins (common mistakes) were identified. The first was placing forecasting at the very heart of the investment process. An enormous amount of evidence suggests that investors are generally hopeless at forecasting. So using forecasts as an integral part of the investment process is like tying one hand behind your back before you start. Secondly, investors seem to be obsessed with information. Instead of focusing on a few important factors (such as valuations and earnings quality), many investors spend countless hours trying to become experts about almost everything. The evidence suggests that in general more information just makes us increasingly over-confident rather than better at making decisions. The man slotted as at the No.15 spot, may not have the lengthy list of superlatives that others on this list enjoy, but he never fails to impress on the eye test. While he could likely start in most backfields across the nation, he has played second fiddle for the majority of his college career. He may not have been the most heralded back in Wisconsin, but he has continued to be productive. He was dazzling as a freshman and now, at the dawn of his senior season, he has a chance to bring his career full-circle as the go-to guy in Madison. No.15: James White (RB,Wisconsin) 2012 Stats/Honors: 125 rushes, 840 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns. Eight receptions, 132 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown. What makes him worthy: There are few instances of guys as talented as White going unnoticed. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla. native posted 1,052 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in his inaugural campaign en route to being named a consensus Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
