Philadelphia Eagles release TE Evan Moore

The Eagles have announced that they have removed tight end Evan Moore from the team's roster. The five-year veteran came to Philadelphia after he was signed on December 20th before the penultimate games of the 2012 season, due to injuries to Brent Celek and Clay Harbor. Moore would only play one game with the team, catching zero passes and dropping a potential game-tying touchdown pass from then-rookie quarterback, Nick Foles (playing with a broken hand) against the Washington Redskins in Week 16. Moore was injured in the game and sat out the Eagles season finale at the New Meadowland against the Giants. Thus far, Moore has played with the Eagles, Browns and Seahawks over his career. He had one catch for six yards in 2012. That catch came with the Seahawks, who cut him after 14 games. He is also a doppelganger for current NFL Network analyst and former Eagles scout , Daniel Jeremiah. Along with the Moore release, the Eagles announced the undrafted player signings that were previously reported by Bleeding Green Nation during the weekend.
