Dolphin has done a pretty fine job when it comes to keeping its browser loaded with plenty of handy features , both on Android and iOS . Now, the Dolphin's hit version 10 for Android, bringing along an array of things including a revamped user interface, drag-and-drop support for speed dials on the home screen, additional swipe-based gestures and a new store for web-based applications. The growing Sega Genesis collection on the 3DS is expanding once again, with Sega announcing a 3D edition of the original Ecco the Dolphin . During the 16-bit generation, Ecco was known for its unique gameplay, high difficulty and unbridled terror . Like other announced 3DS Genesis games, Ecco will feature save states, graphics filters and, of course, 3D. It will also allow players to try out different international versions of the game. Ecco is expected on the Japanese eShop on June 26 for ¥600 ($6.30). Sega's website also revealed that Galaxy Force 2 is planned for the 3DS. There are also two empty slots, suggesting that we can expect at least two more re-released Genesis games before Sega finishes its 3DS promotion. Thus far, we've seen Super Hang-On , Space Harrier , Altered Beast and Sonic the Hedgehog released on 3DS in Japan. Space Harrier , Altered Beast and Sonic the Hedgehog have all been rated by the Australian Classification Board , suggesting the 3DS lineup will head west before too long. On June 16, locals spotted a stranded Dolphin at popular tourist destination, Sanya, in Hainan Province, China. The relevant authorities were contacted, but while waiting for help to arrive, people swimming nearby seized the photo op, lifting the dying Dolphin out of the water to strike their most flattering poses. Hours later, aquatic wildlife rescuers arrived at the scene and the Dolphin received expert care, but it was too late. Although the fatal injury was most likely not caused by the swimmers’ actions, Chinese netizens took to social media to condemn the inhumanity of the snap-happy swimmers and the incriminating photos went viral. Time for a selfie? Commenters on Chinese sites NetEase, Sina and QQ slammed the photo takers. Some of the politer terms used were “bunch of morons” and “beasts”. Version 10 of the Dolphin Browser has arrived in the Google Play Store and it brings quite a few new features. There is an updated user interface, some improvements to search and something called the Dolphin key. Of course, those are just a few from a list that also comes along with news of the browser having reached a new installation milestone. The Dolphin Browser folks have said the browser has now been installed 80 million times. With that in mind, they are calling Dolphin Browser v10 the “most intuitive” yet. The user interface portion of the update deals with simplicity. The update is said to have brought a simplified look as well as streamlined access to the key features. Moving forward users will be able to access the browser menu and tab list as well as the Gesture and Sonar features with a single swipe, this is the Dolphin key. Shifting over to the customization options and some of this is dealing with the newly added Dolphin web app store which will allow you to add app shortcuts to your homescreen. The list has more than 200 web apps and it looks like the expected items such as Facebook, Twitter and more are included. Basically, this setup will be similar to the homescreen on your device in that you can arrange and organize apps including tucking some away in folders. Chinese social media is buzzing with controversy this week after photos surfaced of tourists picking up and taking pictures of a wounded Dolphin, which later died. According to Chinese site People's Daily, the Dolphin was first discovered on Sunday evening , stranded in Dadonghai, a resort in the country's southern Hainan Province. In a series of pictures published by various Chinese media outlets and shared extensively on the country's Twitter-like social media site, Weibo , the Dolphin can be seen surrounded by tourists. In several photos, men lift the mammal out of the water and flex their muscles. While rescuers eventually arrived, no one attempted to stop the group of tourists from manhandling the animal for close to 30 minutes , reports the South China Morning Post. Around midnight on Sunday at Hainan's Aquatic Wild Animal Rescue Center, the Dolphin died of excessive bleeding from its tail , possibly due to an earlier collision with a fishing boat, according to the South China Morning Post. According to National Geographic, commercial fishing operations continue to pose grave threats to dolphins around the world.
