We knew that “X-Men: Days of Future Past” would be hopping between different time periods due to the nature of the story, but we didn’t know what those time periods would be. Well, we still don’t entirely (will the present-day stuff be pre or post “X-Men: The Last Stand”?), but we now know for certain that at least some of the film will be set in the ‘70s thanks to a new tweeted pic of a young Beast and age-unknown Wolverine together. It’s a pretty cool image and the ‘70s costumes look pretty great…although of course Logan’s still sporting that timeless jacket of his. This thing could still be an unwieldy mess, but we can’t help but be impressed by what Singer’s shown us so far.... ...

Towards the beginning of the year, we learned that specialty film distributor Picturehouse was making a comeback with Metallica Through the Never , a new feature film getting an IMAX release. Now we have a first look at the hybrid concert film and narrative which features Chronicle star Dane DeHaan (who will also be seen in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ), and it looks interesting to say the lest. The film is said to follow DeHaan as one of Metallica's crew members sent out on sort of mission during one of Metallica's sold out shows. 3D concert films up to this point have felt like blatant grabs at the loose wallets of parents of tween girls (“Katy Perry: Part of Me”, “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” and so on) but this one sounds altogether something completely different. “Metallica Through the Never” is more like “a dramatic movie in which a concert takes place”, producer Charlotte Huggins tells EW . To that end, the film will feature acting from one of our favorite rising stars, Dane DeHaan , as a roadie for the legendary rock band who is sent out during a concert into a chaotic city to complete a mysterious task, and EW also has our first look at DeHaan in a scene from the Nimród Antal film. Looks like he finds himself in the middle of a street riot, while back in the stadium, a Metallica concert rages on. In 3D. The concert scenes were filmed especially for this movie and not taken at existing concert tour stops, also differing from other concert films. “Metallica Through the Never” will be released in 3D and on IMAX screens on September 27th and you can see the first photo of DeHaan below.
