Back then Ryse was unveiled as a Kinect-only Roman soldier first-person combat game. Now the game has resurfaced with a teaser site counting down (in Roman numerals of course) to a full showing at this year’s E3. The teaser site doesn’t say much, but does confirm that Ryse has shifted to Xbox One exclusivity. The game is also now described as having “controller-based gameplay enhanced by Kinect.” Sounds like a wise change in direction if you ask me. Crytek has also reconfirmed that its CryENGINE 3 tech is armed and officially licensed for Xbox One development right now. Obviously you can expect Ryse to fully demonstrate the engine’s next-gen capabilities. Here’s a look at the original E3 2011 trailer. Ryse looked pretty cool back then, for a Kinect game. I’m actually pretty excited to see how it looks and what it plays like on Xbox One minus the forced motion control. ...

Source: stickskills.com --- Wednesday, May 22, 2013
Crytek’s long-in-development Kinect-powered Ryse , announced as Codename Kingdoms at E3 2010, will finally get shown once more after some years of silence. You’ll only have to wait 19 more days. A countdown was put on Crytek ‘s website that leads into E3. Ryse was originally supposed to come out on the Xbox 360 and there was a rumor that it’ll be on Xbox One before the actual confirmation. Ryse will be a first-person action/adventure set during the Roman empire. It’ll use both the controller and Kinect for gameplay with the website even saying ‘controller-based gameplay enhanced by Kinect’. It looks like it’ll be a major title showing off what both the controller and Kinect sensor will work together in tandem. Sounds pretty cool and hope to see more at E3, and you better believe StickSkills will be there. Let us know in the comments what you think below or post in our forums .

Source: www.niubie.com --- Wednesday, May 22, 2013
