Bonjour à tous, Après une première édition réussie en 2012, le Concert tremplin d'artistes européens est de retour à Valence pour la fête de l'Europe 2013 ! ( Photos et vidéos de l'édition 2013 ). Un événement organisé par la Ville de Valence avec le soutien du programme européen jeunesse en action. Et cette année, pas moins de 5 pays étaient représentés : Italie, Roumanie, Allemagne, Pologne et France. Les villes jumelles et partenaires européennes de Valence (respectivement Asti, Satu Mare, Biberach, Swidnica et Valence ). Chaque ville a envoyé un groupe de musique jeune pour un Concert tremplin d'artistes européens. A l'image de l'eurovision, chaque groupe a joué sur la scène de Valence et un jury a sélectionné le meilleur groupe selon plusieurs critères (chant, prestation, ambiance, etc). Initialement prévu sur les boulevards de Valence, le tremplin s'est finalement déroulé à la maison des syndicats à Valence . Devant un public malheureusement restreint (entre 50 et 70 personnes) en raison de la pluie, les artistes ont néanmoins offert un spectacle d'un excellent niveau , plusieurs crans au dessus du tremplin de l'année dernière. C'est le groupe 2 plus 1 de Satu Mare en Roumanie qui a ouvert le Concert. 2 plus 1 est composé de 2 filles et 1 garçon, les 3 au chant et alternant piano et guitare. Concert Review: Sixto Rodriguez live at Arie Crown Theater

The Arie Crown Theater was nearly sold out for Sixto Rodriguez on Friday night in Chicago. Rodriguez took the massive stage with his three-piece band. The only light source in the venue was the spotlight shining down directly above Rodriguez’s center stage position. This created an intimate setting reminiscent of MTV’s Unplugged series. Rodriguez ‘s witty remarks on his faulty memory and the jokes he told in between song reminded the audience of his age. (He’s 70 years old.) Before he performed his second song, he told a joke that involved Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse having an affair with Goofy. The crowd’s laughs sounded more like loud chuckles at a cute rude joke told by a man who resembles your favorite, really talented uncle. Attending a Rodriguez Concert is taking a journey back to a time of classic American rock and folk. If you would have closed your eyes and stood up from the arena seating at Arie Crown, you could have almost imagined that one was standing in the fields of Woodstock, New York in 1969. There’s is no doubt that a younger Rodriguez playing live would have fit perfectly during those times. Although he plays with just as much heart today, you almost wish the magic he created on his albums would translate to his performances today. RICHMOND, Va. — Officials say the leader of the reggae band Toots and the Maytals was injured when a 19-year-old man threw a bottle and hit the singer during a Concert in Richmond. Police said Sunday the man has been charged with aggravated assault. Authorities have not identified him.
