The earliest known depiction of a three-legged crow appears in Neolithic pottery of the Yangzhou culture. The Sanzuwu is used in the decoration of formal imperial silk garments of the Western Han Dynasty 202 BC -220 AD depicts a Sanzuwu perched on a tree. In Japanese mythology, this flying creature is a raven or a Jungle Crow called Yatagarasu and the appearance of the great bird is interpreted as evidence of the will of Heaven or divine intervention in human affairs. This great crow was sent from heaven as a guide for Emperor Jimmu (reigned 18 February 660 BC - 9 April 585 BC) on his initial journey from the region which would become Kumano. In Korean mythology, it is known as Samjok-o . During the period of the Koguryo Kingdom 37 BCE–668 CE, the Samjok-o was a highly regarded emblem of power, thought greater than both the dragon and the Korean phoenix. Raven is the great shape shifter. The three legs symbolize Heaven, Earth and Humanity. It is one of the most universally ancient images of raven, appearing in the China, Japan, Korea, Neolithic site of Newgrange, Celtic art, Scandinavian art, Ancient Italian art, Egyptian art, and cultures throughout Africa.

Source: www.persecution.org --- Saturday, May 25, 2013
ICC Note: The below, a personal revelation by Jillian Melchior of the National Review, reflects on relations between the Vatican, the Catholic Church of China, and the religiously hostile Communist Party of China. Friday, the Catholic World Day of Prayer in many ways revolved around continued persecution of Chinese Catholics following Pope Francis' recent appeal to the Catholic Church of China on a day of feasting, primarily celebrated by the faithful of Shanghai—a feast in honor of the Virgin Mary, wherein Chinese Catholics in Shanghai make a sort of pilgrimage to the top of Sheshan mountain in a solemn parade lead by an ordained Priest bearing firmly a wooden cross with both hands. Permission of the celebration undoubtedly speaks to easing tensions between the ruling communist regime and the Catholic Church since the regime forced the Catholic Church of China to cut ties with the Vatican in 1951 following Rome's decision to support the establishment of a free Taiwanese state. Even so, persecution continues to persist against both Catholics and protestants in China. 05/25/2013 China ( National Review ) - A year ago today, when I met with some of the 80,000 underground Catholics of Wenzhou, China, they were rebounding from serious hardship. Just months before, authorities had detained their bishop, Peter Shao Zhumin, and chancellor, Paul Jiang Sunian. The authorities pressured the two men to register with the Catholic Patriotic A ...

Kanchanjanga (28, 208 feet) have been rescued and sent to the capital by helicopter for treatment. Those rescued mountaineers are Yangzechngul, Uangzhang and Dengluo (woman), according to Chief District Officer of Taplejung, Kiran Thapa. They fell sick on May 20 at the fourth base camp at an altitude of 7,400 meters in course of coming down following its successful ascent. The mountain is the third highest peak in the world and lies in Taplejung, a district in eastern Nepal. Meanwhile, bodies of the mountaineers who died on Mt. Kanchanjanga five days ago are yet to be retrieved. According to the police, they are facing challenges in retrieving the bodies due to adverse weather and geographical difficulty, but efforts were underway to that end. Five mountaineers including two Nepalis had gone missing after slipping on the face of the mountain last Monday. They were found dead on Thursday. The incident took place at an altitude of 7,500 meters while they were descending after climbing the mountain. ...

Atty Stefan F. Moser from EU’s International Trade Relation spoke at a seminar on EU GSP at the head office of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce in Yangon on May 11. He said that EU will not allow the Chinese businessmen to ship their products through Myanmar and export to EU taking advantage of EU GSP for Myanmar products. He requested Myanmar exporters to strictly follow the requirements in the application process of GSP. Atty Stefan said there are two types of GSP called a simple GSP and a GSP Plus. Myanmar has been offered a simple GSP and the rules of origins and the country of origin certificates proving the products are actually from Myanmar are very important, he noted. EU GSP’s tax benefits vary according to the kinds of products. Garment, which is EU’s major import from Myanmar, will entitle 15 percent tax relief. Myanmar regained EU GSP last June and those products imported from Myanmar after GSP program started but has not received the benefits due in process will be offered back the GSP they entitled, Atty said.
