The rumors started after the release of an image that hinted at a Bungie game coming to PS Vita in 2014 called Destiny of Spirits . Given that Sony trademarked the name Destiny of Spirits , something may still be afoot there. Destiny officially launches for the Xbox 360 , PlayStation 3 , and PlayStation4 some time next year. Bungie squashes rumors that Destiny might come to the PlayStation Vita originally appeared on Massively on Thu, 16 May 2013 18:00:00 EST. An image also began doing the rounds, showcasing the current logo for Bungie’s Destiny, a persistent online shooter to be published by Activision for Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. It showcased the game also being slated for release on PlayStation Vita. Confused? Well, Bungie responded to the Destiny of Spirits image, and stated to IGN that the image was fake. The first clue was the old Bungie logo used at the bottom. The developer stated that “when we actually announce something, we’ll use our current logo.” As for Destiny of Spirits, the game has no relation at all to Bungie’s Destiny. It is owned by Sony and shares no affiliation whatsoever to Bungie’s project. Better luck next time Internet. Bungie’s Destiny is slated to release in 2014 for current and next gen consoles, with some new detailed alluded to on May 21st when Microsoft unveiled the next Xbox. ...

Source: www.product-reviews.net --- Wednesday, May 15, 2013
<img src="http://www.product-reviews.net/wp-content/uploads/ps-vita-destiny-of-spirits-200x110.jpg" & width="150" & height="82" style="margin: 5pt 10px 0px 0px; float: left;" border="1" align="left" alt="" />If you were hoping for a surprise Destiny announcement on PS Vita at Sony’s upcoming E3 press conference, we may have some disappointing news to bring you. Halo developers Bungie has recently distanced themselves from a ‘faked’ Destiny of Spirits image that has been circulating online, refusing to confirm whether or not a PS Vita game is in development. If it is, it certainty won’t have the logo as you see above, as Bungie has told IGN that it is fake. More interesting though, they have also said that when they announce something, ‘they will use their main logo’ . That tells us that there still may be a glimmer of hope that a game is on the way in the future – it’s just this particular image isn’t accurate. What is accurate is that Sony has already trademarked the term ‘Destiny of Spirits’. We are already seeing Guerilla develop a PS Vita game called Killzone Mercenary, alongside Shadow Fall for the PS4, so could Bungie be planning a similar move with their exciting new IP on the way? Having said that, Destiny is looking like a beast in terms of graphics potential – so would the PS Vita actually be able to run the game in a way that would do Bungie justice? The developer is held in very high regard after their Halo series on Xbox and the last thing they would want to do is assign a different developer to make the game and have it turn out like Black Ops Declassified. It could just be the fact that both Sony and Bungie are trying ...

The site reveals more information about the Warlocks, Titans, and Hunters, Guardians that players can choose from. Warlocks sound like the non-physical type: Warlocks have long studied the Traveler, mastering some of its arcane energies. Its true purpose still remains a great mystery, but discovering truth has always driven you into the unknown. Now, our enemies are the only thing that stands between you and the lost wonders of our Golden Age. On the other hand, Titans seem to focus on pure physical brutality: The first Titans built the Wall, and gave their lives to defend it. Now, you stand in the same high place, steadfast and sure, protecting all who shelter in your shadow. You hail from a long line of heroes, forged from strength and sacrifice. Our enemies may be deadly and merciless, but so are you. Lastly, Hunters seem to be rogues that have been reformed: Hunters once prowled the wilderness and wastelands, taking big risks for even bigger rewards. You’re no outlaw—at least, not anymore—but making your own luck has always meant bending the rules. Your unique brand of daring and ingenuity is needed now more than ever. As for locations, while Abandoned Earth and Moon have been highlighted, there are teaser pages for Mars and Venus. These pages, however, are blank ...

Destiny will be released on a variety of game platforms, including Sony's PlayStation 4 (and very likely Microsoft's next Xbox console), so poring over these gorgeous screenshots may provide a hint at the new systems' next-gen graphics capabilities. Released on Bungie.net , the images show man-made structures and a massive pit lined with machinery on the surface of the moon in Bungie's upcoming space-faring shooter game. Next-gen possibilities Sony unveiled its next-gen PlayStation 4 console in February, and while we thought the company was playing it a little too safe , the system clearly showed potential as well. Microsoft, meanwhile, is scheduled to lift the curtain from the new Xbox console next week. Bungie staff were present on-stage during the PS4 announcement to talk about Destiny , and the same may be true at Microsoft's conference, as Bungie has promised that the upcoming game will be a multi-platform title. Bungie's Halo series was exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox, but the studio amicably parted ways with Microsoft and has since partnered with Call of Duty publisher Activision to ens ...

As you may know, every player is known as a Guardian, those with the ability to harness power from the now dormant Traveler (the Traveler’s a strange floating ball that’s now hovering over Earth). Now Bungie have shown us what the different Guardians look like. Let’s take a look at the Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans. The Warlock’s description hints that they are brains of the guardians. Their study of the Traveler perhaps indicates that this class will be more tech savvy and have the ability to control more of your structural environment than the rest. The Titans are noted to be among the first Guardians and receive a higher reverence than the other class. The new description and their build would lead us to believe they are perhaps the more stealthy of the crew and are able to maneuver easier than the others. The Hunters are the bronze the this operation. Formerly outcasts living in the wasteland they have less of a problem bending the rules. Their upbringing has resulted in their more strength based physique and a strong survival instinct. As far as environment go they briefly mentioned, in addition to a wild and abandoned Earth” outside of The City protected by the traveler, you will have the ability to experience the “Forbidden Zone” of the Moon, the “dunes of Mars” and the “j ...
