The hearing has been scheduled for June 26 at 9:00 a.m. ET and will be held by the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. Although the hearing will be closed to the public, retired Gen. Carter Ham will finally be questioned about his oversight of military assets in the region while dozens of Americans battled extremists for nearly eight hours in Benghazi on Sept. 11 and 12 . No U.S. military assets other than an unarmed drone were ever provided to assist in the fight. At the time of the attack Ham was serving as Commander of AFRICOM and happened to be in Washington D.C. for meetings. He spent much of the night in the National Military Command Center, a basement office and war operations center in the Pentagon. Ham's retirement was announced just weeks after the incident, sparking rumors that he was being pushed aside after having expressed his desire for a more aggressive military response. It’s a claim that Ham and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Martin Dempsey, have strongly denied. Lt. ...

Briefers will include: Gen. Carter Ham (ret.) He was head of AFRICOM during Benghazi attack. LTC Gibson RADM Brian Losey – Special Operations Command Africa This is being coordinated by the Oversight and Investigations subcommittee of the HASC. It will be closed door but will be the first time Ham has been questioned by Congress about his oversight of military assets that were available and why they weren’t sent to Benghazi last Sept 11/12. Ham was in the Pentagon at the time and oversaw the military response. LTC Gibson is the Army Lieutenant Colonel who Greg Hicks said was told to stand down with his 3 other Special Forces when they wanted to go to Benghazi on the morning of Sept 12. We have not heard from him or Admiral Loissy, who was the head of Special Ops in Africa. He was in Europe coordinating from his base in Germany. He can speak to where the Special operations teams or CIF (Commander’s in extremis force) was based and when it was told to deploy and why it wasn’t sent to Libya. Again this will be closed door. However the recent admission of Martin Dempsey, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, is certain to bring it all back into the limelight. In the weeks following the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the US Consulate grounds in Benghazi, The White House and State Department both said that there were no troops or Special Forces that could have reached the consulate in time to help them, even though there were reports that said otherwise. Now we learn that both the White House (Obama) and the State Department (Clinton) were again lying to the American people. According to a statement from Dempsey , a highly trained team of Special Forces, C-110, were within a few hours of Benghazi. The consulate reported that they were under attack early on and the attack lasted over 8 hours. If Dempsey is telling the truth, the Special Forces unit could have been there and possibly save the lives of the four Americans. Dempsey tried to protect the White House and State Department by first saying that the Special Forces unit was more than 6 hours away and that was only if they were setting on the tarmac at the time. He did acknowledge that the unit was training in Croatia. A large commercial jet liner can make the trip in about two and half hours, and sources close to the unit said they could have loaded up and flown to Ben ...

The Saudis (Sunnis) are associated with religious extremism (Whabbism) and may not want to be seen fighting Muslims – so they employ U.S. troops to aid Syria? Or possibly to disadvantage Iran whom they also fear – especially if they get nuclear weapons? The so-called rebels are jihadists – terrorists who hate the United States and Israel, maybe a tad less than they hate apostates like the Alawites and Shia? The rebels are thought to include members of al Qaeda. Possibly funded by Saudi interests in return for spreading world-wide Whabbism and not overthrowing the Kingdom? If terrorists get their hands on ground-to-air missiles, might it obscure weapons that might have been provided through the Obama Administration and the State Department – through the Benghazi, Libya-Turkey connections? If 93,000 people died, where the hell is the United Nations and their protection against genocide or a government attacking its own people? Saudi Arabia wants missiles for Syrian rebels: report Saudi Arabia plans to supply the Syrian opposition with anti-aircraft missiles to counter President Bashar al-Assad's air force, German news weekly Der Spiegel reported Sunday. The article, citing a classified report received by the German foreign intelligence service and the German government last week, said Riyadh was looking at sending Europe ...

Source: radio.foxnews.com --- Sunday, June 16, 2013
from alan.com Former Republican congressman and Ambassador Fred J. Eckert at Politico points out that the Republican leadership has been blocking the formation of a select committee for more than six months in favor of allowing six different investigations. Boehner and his team are foolishly insisting on letting all six House committees that can claim any bit of jurisdiction for investigating what went wrong with Benghazi do so — Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, Judiciary, Armed Services, Homeland Security and Oversight and Government Reform — despite the fact that each is restricted to its own narrow scope. This wastes time, duplicates effort and stymies clear focus. Why insist on investigating the Benghazi scandal in such a maladroit manner? Because it: 1) frees Boehner from having to decide who should chair the investigation, thereby saving him from possibly offending the ones not selected; 2) enables six different committee chairs to bask in the spotlight as star of their very own investigation; and 3) gives every member who serves on one of these six committees — all 239 of them, or more than half of the House — a chance to appear on prime-time national television… Boehner’s way is a gift to Barack Obama. It enables the president and his apologists to deflect attention from the core issue by railing against how the Republicans have unleashed not one but six separate committees with 133 Republican members all trying to damage h ...

There is a general principle in the military, no one left behind. But back after Benghazi, then secretary of defense, Leon Panetta, said that that wasn't possible during -- given the specific circumstances during the terror attacks in Benghazi. Let's take a look. WALLACE: Given the circumstances that night and what we have been told about the deployment of forces, was the decision by the president and the Pentagon not to send U.S. forces during those seven hours to try to rescue our people on the ground, was that an appropriate decision or not? FMR VICE PRESIDENT DICK CHENEY: I don't think it was. My experience was, especially on 9/11, Chris, especially in that part of the world, where we anticipated that al Qaeda might well try to mark the anniversary, if you will, of 9/11 with an attack, especially on a location where they had an enormous amount of intelligence that said the -- the consulate is in danger. You get the broadcast. The first thing that comes out of the embassy is the ambassador saying we are under attack. We should have been on the step before that ever happened. We were always prepared, had groups and organizations, teams ready to go operate at the drop of a hat and practice exactly that kind of operation. I found it difficult to reconcile. Andrea Mitchell doing their dirty work for them on this Sunday's Meet the Press? I guess she got the recent memo with the latest GOP talking points on the scandal mongering we've been seeing for months on end, because that's exactly what she was reading from here as part of the panel discussing these NSA leaks. ANDREA MITCHELL: General, one of the things that I think has been written about from both the left and the right, Peggy Noonan wrote about it this weekend, is that there is a lack of confidence in the government, which has evolved a variety of administrations. So when you say, "Trust me, this data, the metadata are stored and we're not going to go into it unless there's a court order, unless it's because of a terrorist plot, and then if a judge orders that, it's then turned over to the F.B.I. and then they can pursue and look at the context, so we've got the numbers, but we're not looking, we're not reading." But people no longer, after Benghazi, after I.R.S. certainly, and after a lot of other things, don't have confidence in their government. And that is leading to a disaffection and a disconnection, that going forward is very troubling. You know what's actually "very troubling" Mrs. Greenspan? When people who call themselves reporters continue to prop up fake "scandals" and conflate them with real one ...

Ambassador Susan Rice purposely deceived the American public about the attack. During a June 16 Fox News Sunday interview with former Vice President Cheney, Wallace claimed that the president and the Pentagon decided not to send any assistance to the U.S. forces and citizens under attack in Benghazi: Wallace's suggestion that the president and the Pentagon coordinated such a decision ignores known facts about the circumstances and deployment of forces that night. During a February 7 Senate hearing , then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta testified that President Obama had "directed both myself and General Dempsey to do everything we needed to do to try to protect lives there." During the same hearing, Panetta later said , "[Obama] basically said, 'do whatever you need to do to be able to protect our people" in Benghazi the night of the attacks. Following that conversation with the president, Panetta ordered two anti-terrorism security teams stationed in Spain to Libya and deployed another special operations team to the region. These forces arrived after the attacks ...

Man Behind Syrian Chemical Weapons€™ Claim Is Fiction Writer Who Ran Benghazi Cover-Up

Source: anti-propaganda.tumblr.com --- Sunday, June 16, 2013
Man Behind Syrian Chemical Weapons€™ Claim Is Fiction Writer Who Ran Benghazi Cover-Up : Yesterday, Rhodes announced that the White House had “high confidence” that the Syrian Army had used chemical weapons, providing no evidence, and that the Obama administration would now take steps to arm FSA rebels, who as has been widely documented are being led by Al-Qaeda terrorists who killed U.S. troops in Iraq. The Wall Street Journal also reports that a no fly zone is being prepared that would embroil the United States in yet another war. 35-year-old Rhodes has been a speechwriter for Obama since 2007 and now enjoys the role of deputy national security adviser for strategic communication. He created the infamous term “kinetic military action” to describe the bombardment of Libya which allowed Obama to skirt around the constitutional question of having to declare war. Rhodes’ expertise revolves around manufacturing narratives. “He earned a master’s degree in fiction-writing from New York University just a few years ago,” writes Ed Lansky . “He did not have a degree in government, diplomacy, national security; nor has he served in the CIA, or the military. He was toiling away not that long ago on a novel called ‘The Oasis of Love” about a mega church in Houston, a dog track, and a failed romance.” As Stephen Hayes documents in a lengthy Weekly Standard piece , Rhodes was instrumental in altering CIA talking points to delete references to ...
