I recently bought a 9mm even though I typically stick to .40 and .45. So I needed some Ammo. I was trolling Armslist and found a box of 100 WWB rounds for $45. Guy had 3 of them. I wasn't ecstatic about the price but wanted to build up some reserves so I decided to go for it. In talking with him, it would appear a LOT of guys are still going to Wal-Mart and the other big stores at 6am to buy what they can and then turn a profit on the stuff. It has become a great side business for the guy I bought mine from. He even asked me if I had any requests for Ammo. I said "no, I'll be finding my own from here on out". I am all for free market entrepreneurship, but this just seems like these guys are hurting it for all of us. I guess I shouldn't have bought these rounds. If these guys get stuck with all this Ammo, maybe they will stop. Basically, our fellow shooters are becoming the "middle man". It kinda makes me sick. Anyways, that is all. A California law expanding the ban on lead Ammo for hunting in the roosting and scavenging territories of condors to the entire state cleared the assembly this week . The law, which goes to the senate next, will ban all lead-based Ammo for hunting. The state assembly passed the bill Thursday closely following party lines, with a vote of 44-21. It now faces the senate, and with 27 Democratic senators and 11 Republican (and two vacancies) the bill is expected to be made into law. Carved out through muddy tunnels this is truly a relic, found only by a whole that cut down into the ground and led into tunnels filled with Mukade, a large centipede. Check out a great Ammo can story I always buy my Ammo in bulk because I am a cheap bastard. I now use my old safe for Ammo storage. What I need to do is buy a pile of Ammo cans and label them by caliber. Then I will put a half a dozen shelves in there so I can take out a single Ammo can without having to move a giant pile of Ammo off the can that always seems to be on the bottom. Fridge magnets could be used to indicate the Ammo that I need to buy. --I need to take a hand truck to the next gun show... ...

I've bought exactly one box of 5.56 since all this crazy buying began last year. Other than that I haven't bought a single round in a major, popular caliber. While 223 / 5.56 Ammo prices are still way too rich for my blood, it does seem like some sanity has returned to the market. In addition, I was able to find enough PMAGS in stock to cancel my backorders with DSG Arms. Palmetto State Armory not only has XM193 in stock, but it's not ~$1 / round anymore. Also, this is a sight I haven't seen in a long time. An entire page of in stock .223 / 5.56 FMJ. Maybe I'll actually be able to afford some Ammo sometime later this year. ...

In Proctor, Minnesota, the police chief has become so exasperated with trying to find a supplier that he issued a request to members of the public for help meeting the department’s Ammo needs. Chief Walter Woberg made the public announcement after bullet suppliers notified him that he would have to wait “months” for an order of just 1,000 rounds. “I go, ‘Do you have 40–caliber qualification rounds?’ And they go, ‘Well, no. It’s going to take six to eight months [to get them],’” Woberg told reporters with NNCNOW.com .
