Source: www.defensivecarry.com --- Sunday, May 19, 2013
I recently bought a 9mm even though I typically stick to .40 and .45. So I needed some Ammo. I was trolling Armslist and found a box of 100 WWB rounds for $45. Guy had 3 of them. I wasn't ecstatic about the price but wanted to build up some reserves so I decided to go for it. In talking with him, it would appear a LOT of guys are still going to Wal-Mart and the other big stores at 6am to buy what they can and then turn a profit on the stuff. It has become a great side business for the guy I bought mine from. He even asked me if I had any requests for Ammo. I said "no, I'll be finding my own from here on out". I am all for free market entrepreneurship, but this just seems like these guys are hurting it for all of us. I guess I shouldn't have bought these rounds. If these guys get stuck with all this Ammo, maybe they will stop. Basically, our fellow shooters are becoming the "middle man". It kinda makes me sick. Anyways, that is all. Shoot safe (if you can find Ammo). ...

The law, which goes to the senate next, will ban all lead-based Ammo for hunting. The state assembly passed the bill Thursday closely following party lines, with a vote of 44-21. It now faces the senate, and with 27 Democratic senators and 11 Republican (and two vacancies) the bill is expected to be made into law. Condors and other scavengers including the golden eagle and turkey vulture are showing high levels of wide-spread lead poisoning, and while ingesting bullets from scavenging unclaimed game is common to these animals, it hasn’t been proven to be the cause of their lead poisoning. “If we are going to save the world then let’s do it without the political garbage and rely on scientific proof and experience of life itself rather than keeping politicians in office who cave to special interests so they both can maintain power over the people,” said gun and Ammo expert Joe Busalacchi to U-T San Diego. The condor, which has a much more powerful digestive system (and appetite, and range) is particularly at risk when ingesting lead Ammo, as their bodies absorb more lead from the bullets in less time. While this is ostensibly to protect the highly-endangered California condor — there are about 400 California condors known to exist – opponents of the bill argue that it ...

Blue Ridge Arsenal Inc. in Chantilly, Va. is one such range. For the last few months, they have limited customers to one ammunition box per shooting lane, no matter the number of people shooting on one lane. Up to four people are permitted to shoot per lane. “I never thought I would see the day in America when stores could not keep .22 Ammo on the shelves,” an employee of Blue Ridge Arsenal, who wished not to be named, told The Daily Caller. “I have never seen anything like this.” Efforts to enact more restrictive gun-control legislation and reports of the government purchasing mass quantities of ammunition have compounded to spark a mass increase in demand for guns and ammunition. ...

Playing every so often, Goodson averaged 6.3 yards per carry. What's not to like? Plenty, actually, according to the New Jersey state police. Goodson was stopped early this morning on I-80 West, where he was a passenger in an SUV. Police said he and the driver were intoxicated, evidently sufficiently enough that both were sent to a hospital before police processed them. Later, Goodson was hit with a bundle of charges: unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a loaded handgun, possession of a hollow-point round, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He's presently in jail in Morris County. Will the Jets cut Goodson? Maybe. He's replaceable, and the team recently dumped two non-roster rookies who were arrested on simple marijuana possession charges. Hope Goodson hasn't already spent that $1.925 million signing bonus. "I was really surprised, let's just put it that way," Proctor, Minn., Police Chief Walt Wobig told the Northland NewsCenter of the difficulty in obtaining ammunition. He said that when he asked suppliers for the 1,000 rounds of Ammo his officers needed for training, he was told he'd have to wait months. He said he was forced to ask local citizens to lend their personal supplies until the order came in. ...

Chief Woberg also noted that he has ...
