Travis Barker attended the AMERICAN IDOL 2013 finale last Thursday (May 16) with his children Landon, 9, and Alabama , 7. Atiana Cecilia de la Hoya, 14, also went with them. Atiana is the daughter of Shanna Moakler and Oscar de la Hoya. The drummer cancelled touring with Blink 182 in Australia because he is still afraid to fly. In 2008 he survived the plane crash that claimed the lives of four passengers, including his friend and assistant Chris Baker and security guard Che Still. He wrote on his Facebook page: “I’m sorry to announce i won’t be joining Blink-182 on this Australian tour. I still haven’t gotten over the horrific events that took place the last time i flew when my plane crashed and 4 people were killed, two being my best friends. I gave the band my blessing to take another drummer if they still wanted to do the tour without me. I hope to come to Australia again some day perhaps by ship if need be. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a boat that worked with the schedule this time around. Once again I’m sorry to all the fans.” ...

Now that AMERICAN IDOL seems to be revamping their judge's panel yet again, Bruno Mars could find himself in one of those spinning cushy chairs. In fact, he could find himself scoring a spot VERY soon if things go right. A source revealed: "He’s super talented, amazingly charismatic, and well-liked by industry professionals and young fans. [Producers] are looking into making him an offer very soon. They’re looking to lock down next seasons judging panel sooner than later." But he's not the only one who might be negotiating an offer any day now. We knew a couple former Idols were under consideration, but it sounds like IDOL knows who they want to lock down as the source added: "They’re currently happy going with a three-person judge panel, and would really like to add a former IDOL to the panel. This spat puts the Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey tiff to shame. West Manchester Township Police have arrested a couple after they stabbed one another during an argument over which contestant deserved to win ‘AMERICAN IDOL.’ According to court documents, Gregory Stambaugh, 57, and Karen Elaine Harrelson, 48, were drunk and watching the popular Fox show together on May 15th at Stambaugh’s residence on Lycan Drive. Stambaugh and Harrelson disagreed over whether Candice Glover or Kree Harrison should win the 12th season of AMERICAN IDOL. At one point, either Stambaugh or Harrelson went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and stabbed the other. The victim of the first stabbing responded in kind, stabbing the stabber. Both Stambaugh and Harrelson say the other was the first to engage in knifeplay. Stambaugh had a puncture wound on his forearm. Harrelson had scratches on her fingers and a laceration on top of her wrist. Both are currently in York County Prison charged with assault. ...

Online , AMERICAN IDOL producers are looking at hiring IDOL alums to fill the judging spots on the panel next season. "It's IDOL stars guiding the next generation" one Fox source told E!. Of course the first ever AMERICAN IDOL winner, Kelly Clarkson , is one of the show's top choices along with singer-actress Jennifer Hudson. They're also looking at Clay Aiken and Adam Lambert to fill the third spot, as they're looking to go back to three judges. Who could better judge the newcomers than the people who have been in their shoes?! We really hope all of this talk is true because it would be SO awesome! What a brilliant way to still have cool celebs on the show but with a different spin than the other reality singing competitions out there. What do you guys think? The AMERICAN IDOL 2014 judges rumor mill has begun but here’s one that might have some legs: Season One champion Kelly Clarkson and Season 3 contestant Jennifer Hudson could be two of the next three AMERICAN IDOL judges! E! News is reporting that a source close to the show has confirmed that Kelly and Jennifer are really close to being added to the panel and that they’re also courting IDOL runners-up Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken . That would make the entire panel AMERICAN IDOL alum (they’re likely cutting it to three, so that means Keith Urban won’t be getting his wish ). It’s “95 percent there,” the source told E! about the alumni judge’s panel. ”It’s IDOL stars guiding the next generation.” I think this idea is brilliant. In fact it would be the best idea AMERICAN IDOL EVER had. Ever. Did I say ever? It’s even better than my idea of a Fans vs. Favorites season. In fact forget I ever said it. THIS idea is where it’s at. If AMERICAN IDOL pulls this off, I think they’ll get most of their ratings back and even some fans back. Think about it. It would be some of IDOL’s favorite familiar faces doing the coaching and judging. They’ve all competed on the show and have experienced it first-hand.
