MS Word and Outlook are full of gremlins and boogers. I am a pilgrim at his so I'll explain as best I can. I'm using a new Dell Latitude D830 laptop, and, newly installed MS Office Standard 2007 upgrade. I have never before used a laptop. Also, I am using gmail for my ISP and use Outlook for viewing. When in Word or Outlook (and I just discovered, even in this writing) my cursor seem to have a random mind of it's own. I'm typing along and - suddenly - the cursor jumps backward 2-3-4 spaces, words, lines or paragraphs and whatever I'm typing at the moment is inserted right into the middle of something previously typed. It is making me CRAZY! No, I do not receive any kind of error mssg when this happens. ALSO . . . every time, when sending or receiving mail I get a processing window that shows a task of, 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for gmail . . .' I don't know what that is/means because I have 'subscribed' - to nothing! And I sure wish I could disable/turn off this task. It sometimes takes 30-40 seconds to complete this task (sometimes successfully, sometimes not) and until this task is completed the system will not show rec'd mail. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Pilgrim ...
