(Telecompaper) IP communications systems provider Aastra Telecom and US-based supplier of pure IP communications equipment Zultys Technologies have reached a strategic original equipment manufacturing arrangement, demonstrating full interoperability between Aastra's 5i series and Zultys' line of Media eXchange servers, the MX250 and MX30 systems. When paired with the Zultys' MX software (version 3.2 or higher), this combination allows enterprise and SMB customers to choose from a range of open standards-based IP desktop and wireless products. Aastra 5i Series consists of a line of advanced SIP-based desktop and wireless telephones and expansion modules including the ZIP 53i, ZIP 55i, ZIP 57i, ZIP 57i CT as well as the ZIP 536m and ZIP 560m expansion modules. Under the terms of the OEM arrangement, these phones will be rebranded by Zultys and made available to its distributors and resellers. ...
