 The body of an unidentified woman was discovered in a field Thursday along with a 2002 Kia Rio last known to be driven by a Chambersburg woman missing since May. Chambersburg police have been searching for 65-year-old Liane Burget since she reportedly went missing in May. The body has not been identified and, because of its condition, a cause of death has not yet been determined. Burget left her home May 25 in the Kia Rio that was found in the field and has not been heard from since. The body of the unidentified female and the vehicle were found in a farm field near the intersection of U.S. 11 and Route 997, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey Conner, Pennsylvania State Police and Chambersburg police are all involved with the investigation. ... |
