The National Weather Service conducted a survey in Oneida County of the storm that affected the Camden area on Saturday night. An EF0 (the weakest tornado using the Enhanced Fujita Scale) tornado with maximum wind speeds estimated to be near 75 miles per hour struck approximately 1.7 miles northwest of the village of Camden at 6:50 p.m. An eyewitness confirmed the tornado touchdown, while several other eyewitnesses viewed a funnel cloud at it approached State Route 13. The tornado touchdown near the west branch of Fish Creek and knocked down several large limbs over one foot in diameter before striking the adjacent property. A snowmobile trailer was blown approximately 20 to 25 feet as the tornado continued through the property. A barn was collapsed by the winds. The structure was in the process of being remodeled. Some siding was ripped off the house and debris from the house and yard was found a half-mile southeast of the property. The tornado moved through the neighboring property causing minimal damage to trees and a wooden playhouse before crossing State Route 13 and lifting. The pattern of damage was suggestive of convergence along an axis as debris was blown inward toward the center of the property. The width of the tornado is estimated to be at 250 yards with a path length of one-half mile. ...
