Westboro 6, W-W C 0 The C team ``lost by decision'' after a tough fight with a strong Westboro on Sunday. Once again the offensive line came through, as blockers Andy Carmichael, Cameron Dixon, Domenic Nardone, Travis Poulin, Thomas Griffith, Hunter Clutz, Will Zetter, Will Talcott, and Will O'Neil battered holes through the Westboro defense, allowing the Warriors several long drives. The excitement came as Jared Newhall-Thayer produced a breakout game, with several carries for big gains, a kickoff return deep into Westboro territory, and a spectacular pick to stop Westboro's chances for scoring in the first half. On defense, linebackers Wes Robinson, Robert Jones, and Brad Belinsky, and defensive backs Christian Eng, Matthew Massicotte, and Newhall-Thayer punished Westboro's runners. With the play of defensive ends Poulin, Andrew Straube, Will O'Neil and Cameron Dixon, no team has yet to run the reverse successfully against the Warriors. On the line, defenders shed blocks and made tackles like Robert Yuan's spectacular solo tackle in the third quarter, which helped the Warriors to get the ball back on downs. W-W Perry D 24, Westboro 0 Wayland-Weston has a record of 3-2 this season after defeating Westborough on Sunday. It was W-W's second shutout.
