Justin Cooper rushed for 115 yards and Garrett Cummings kicked two field goals for Washburn in a 14-6 win Saturday over Emporia State at Topeka in the Turnpike Tussle. It was Washburn's fifth straight win over the Hornets and the 105th time the two teams have played. The Ichabods improved to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in MIAA play with Andre Sloan El passed for 188 yards and a touchdown for Emporia State (3-4, 1-4), hooking up with Danny McEvoy for a 42-yard score.
