Sean Avery likes to run his mouth. He regularly baits opposing players, especially goaltenders, with his verbal arsenal. But it's not always just talk. Avery is effective because he creates havoc in the crease by going to the net without fear. He clearly got into Martin Brodeur's head during the Rangers' first-round playoff victory over the Devils in April, scoring three goals and infuriating Brodeur to the point where the future Hall of Famer blew off Avery in the handshake line at the end of the series.
