The success that Marvel Studios has earned this year with their one-two punch of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk , as well as their plans to churn out more films with their characters and put them all in a shared continuity by the time the planned 2011 Avengers movie rolls around, has apparently gotten some people at Warner Bros., the outright owners of DC Comics, thinking that just maybe they've been going at things the wrong way. WB may be considering adopting the Marvel Studios model, which will mean we may just get movies about Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman and maybe they can even redefine everyone's perception of Aquaman, who is actually something of a badass, despite what the Super Friends would lead you to believe. Conversely, there is the possibility that the superhero film market could eventually reach capacity, if they don't continue to raise the bar higher and higher and branch out in different directions. There's a script running around for a potential Green Arrow movie that would change up the formula by throwing the hero in prison and forcing him to deal with all the supervillains he's managed to incarcerate. Also, it's hard to imagine the bar could be raised any higher than The Dark Knight will, what with potential Academy Award buzz for Heath Ledger's truly disturbing take on the Joker. That film should revitalize the whole genre and keep people coming back to the world of comic book superheroes even ...
