As I expressed in my review of the latest Xbox 360 release in Rare's Viva Pi?ata franchise, I am a pi?ata tyrant. I lure them, breed them, and use them for money and experience -- and once they've outlived their usefulness, I break up their pi?ata families to make room for the next temporary occupants of my land. Lording over my pi?atas was previously only something I could do from home, but thanks to Viva Pi?ata: Pocket Paradise for the DS, I can enact my reign of terror from anywhere. The Viva Pi?ata games are all about attracting living pi?ata creatures into your colorful garden and breeding them. You gain experience each time a new pi?ata visits, becomes a resident, or is successfully bred. The game is a series of loosely connected quests -- luring one pi?ata into your garden will likely attract another one, thus keeping you constantly engaged...assuming that sort of thing appeals to you.
