The AP is reporting that shots were fired along the Vermont-Canada border, saying that a U.S. Border Control agent shot at three suspects. They believe it is the first time Border Patrol agents have fired a weapon in the northeastern United States. According to the story, an agent on a routine patrol confronted two males and one female walking in Derby Line, VT early in the morning. There was a struggle, the agent fired two shots, two were taken into custody, and one male escaped over the border.
