Urban Outfitters has really pulled itself up by the bootstraps. Having faltered for a few years in the face of fast-fashion companies including H&M and Forever 21 — which hawked the same downtown-derelict look at a fraction of the price — they’ve turned things around with a new staple of cheaper brands, including stellar collaborations with L.A. brands such as Corpus and Geren Ford. The retailer's newest team player is another L.A. label — Grey Ant, the brand that kicked off the craze for high-waisted, wide-leg jeans a couple of years ago. Dubbed Grey Antics, the line just hit stores and is available online. It's quintessential Grey Ant —subversive by design but flattering in fit. For the brand's designers, Grant Krajecki and Natalie Levy, it's all about the tailoring.
