Crystal Cave, a popular visitor attraction in the Giant Forest area of Sequoia National Park, will remain closed for the fall and winter season even after a wildfire that prompted its shutdown is contained this week.The Hidden fire, which began from a Sept. 10 lightning strike, has burned about 3,700 acres and is nearly completely encircled by fire lines to contain its growth. The Crystal Cave road from the Generals Highway, and the cave itself, were closed more than a week ago as the fire spread through the forest surrounding the cave, and fire activities continue in the cave area. ...
