#1 The Memphis City Council last week resurrected a motion to allow new Memphis Police officers to reside within 20 miles of Shelby County, and not have to live within the Shelby County limits as the rule stands now. The motion died in committee. It was a 3-3 tie with the black members opposing it, and the whites supporting it. The entire council can bring it up next week. According to the Commercial Appeal article, Councilman Joe Brown said he didn't think people in communities surrounding Memphis would be smart enough to do the job. He also questioned their views on race. I was going to offer commentary on The Honorable Joe Brown’s statement, but on second thought it’s too hard to type while laughing. What a jackass! #2 Barack Hussein Obama to a Jewish group in Philadelphia regarding Hamas: “We must not negotiate with a terrorist group intent on Israel's destruction” Is this the same Obama who said he would negotiate with Iran? So, Hamas, which controls the Palestinian government, is a terrorist group intent on Israel’s destruction. But Iran, whose head raghead Imadinnerjacket said that Israel would cease to exist, is not?
