July 16 Daily News editorial The U.S.-Colombian Free Trade Agreement now awaiting congressional approval could deliver a timely boost to the national economy. But there seems little prospect for approval of any free trade pact in this election year. Democratic leaders in Congress and the Democrats’ presumptive presidential nominee have made their opposition to new trade agreements a major campaign issue.
