Rent It This mostly forgotten all-star Euro-comedy is technically a sequel to the very popular 70mm roadshow Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines (or How I Flew from London to Paris in 25 Hours 11 Minutes) (1965). The connection between it and Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies (1969) is slight but it's there. The earlier movie earned about $30 million in worldwide rentals (on a not-huge budget of about $5.6 million) making it a substantial success when it was new, and it remains a popular catalog title for 20th Century-Fox. Yet many of that film's fans are unaware of Jaunty Jalopies ' existence and Paramount, which owns the rights, has so little interest in the film that they sublicensed it for DVD release to Legend Films.
