Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...  A WiMax venture involving Clearwire (CLWR) and Sprint Nextel (S)...Earnings from Cisco Systems Inc (CSCO)...Earnings from Walt Disney Co (DIS)...Word that Countrywide Financial Corp (CFC) admitted "that it has made errors and pledged to take steps to improve its operations..."Optimism on electronics retailers as Standard & Poor's believes the group could benefit from tax rebate checks...Best Buy (BBY), GameStop (GME), RadioShack (RSH), and Circuit City (CC) are mentioned with BBY singled out as the top pick...A look into the "ignorance about recessions..."While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest story is this - Scientists find something good about a big bottom - "A type of fat that accumulates around the hips and bottom may actually offer some protection against diabetes..."
