WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - Telecommunications stocks fell sharply in Monday trades amid continued uncertainty about the health of U.S. and global financial markets. AT&T Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. both declined around 2%. Smaller carriers such as Leap Wireless International Inc. and U.S. Cellular Corp. fell more sharply.
