Hey coastie!! Yes, but , they are more expensive. Even at NewEgg there is still a difference in price. My guess is , if you can get by with the 256 one then you will be saving about $100.00 on your purchase (taxes included) But if you would like to play the most recent games on the market well, you are going to have to balance things out . Either you future proof for the up and coming or you make do with what you can afford. There is also the fact that if your monitor cannot sustain the higher fram rate with a refresh cycle of about 5 to 8ms then spending all the money in the world will not make a difference on your viewing pleasure.
