It has been well documented by various observers as well as international human rights watch dogs that Mugabe and his Zanu PF militants have decimated his country's economy, is guilty of genocide and continues with daily human rights abuses against Zimbabweans that do not support his party. Neighbouring countries are now home to millions of Zimbabweans that have feld the chaos and in search of employment (80% of Zimbabweans are unemployed with a further 10% labouring under starvation wages. It has been widely reported that the 2003 election was rigged to return Mugabe to power but in 2008, despite intimidation from militants and the barring of international observers, the country's population finally rejected Mugabe in the polls. The official results have never been released and the presidential vote has been tampered with in order to secure a run-off vote. In the meantime, Mugabe's gangs are terrorising those thought to have voted for the oppostition. Already 30 MDC supporters have been murdered yet Thabo Mbeki, South African President and head of the SADC delegation, says there is no crisis in Zimbabwe.
