On the tip of California’s Baja Peninsula, where rugged desert mountains meet the Sea of Cortez, lies Cabo San Lucas . Cabo’s temperate weather and beautiful scenery bring in a steady stream of visitors, and many Americans have purchased second homes there. Today, the real estate market is vibrant along the 20 mile corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, and a new development, Querencia, offers vacation home buyers Cabo’s first private golf club. Querencia is currently rolling out its second phase of residences and home lots. Here’s a look at what’s in the works. What’s for Sale This low-density community has a wide selection of homesites, villas, condominiums and custom homes. Homesites ranging from a half acre to nearly one acre have water views and are selling for $550,000 to $2 million. Three- and four-bedroom oceanview homes start at $2 million and are perched along a ridgeline overlooking a canyon and the town of San Jose del Cabo. These homes have an entry courtyard, along with an outdoor fireplace and swimming pool. There are also Querencia’s Club Villas, three- to four-bedroom homes with fire pits that overlook the golf course and have views of the Sea of Cortez. Villas start at $2.3 million. Custom residences start at $3.5 million and are designed though the development’s on-site architectural design center.
