That meant the series outcome was sent to a tiebreaker, which Norwood won as the higher seed, earning the No. 2 spot in District 6 West to Quincy’s No. 4 in the East. “If you are a competitor and have confidence in your team, you always feel like you are going to go out there and get a win,” said Norwood manager Paul Samargedlis. “What happened in the series was unavoidable. We would have much rather beat them on the field, and I think that we would have, but that’s why they have the tiebreaker and why you have to play hard the entire regular season.” Norwood won its final two games of the regular season to claim second place, avoiding the predicament of No. 3 Foxboro, which lost its District 6 series to fellow No. 3 Milton by a 4-2 aggregate score, the second tiebreaker.
