Mobile services provider Mobile Interactive Group announced it will license its Midas mobile messaging platform to Sony BMG Music Entertainment UK to manage the label's SMS campaigns. Per terms of the agreement, MIG will provide Sony BMG an in-house direct marketing team to launch targeted mobile marketing campaigns including weekly SMS newsletters, mobile alerts and mobile content offers from the label's artists. MIG adds that all outbound message services to Sony BMG's one million opt-in subscribers will be free with inbound messages charged at standard network rate.
