Calling all Toronto hotels with suites for eight! With our big filmfest continuing to drop movie titles week after week like confetti cascading down from motion- picture heaven, it’s come to my attention that Brad Pitt ’s new one, Burn After Reading , is pretty much confirmed to also bow here in September. That is to say, Brad and whatshername and their brood of six — the original four, and now those new, non-negotiable twins — may very well be celebrating Knox and Vivienne ’s two-month B-day in these parts. And if Angelina Jolie ’s latest, The Changeling , directed by Clint Eastwood , is also part of the TIFF hymn sheet — a strong possibility — then that should cinch the deal. Shouldn’t it? Burn After Reading , as some might know, is the latest movie to come out of the Coen Brothers cannon. Besides Pitt, it’s got a cast so polished and worth coveting that one is surprised Steve Jobs didn’t have something to do with it! There is, for instance, the ceremonious Tilda Swinton , the major-league Frances McDormand and the never-limp John Malkovich . Oh, and did we mention George Clooney ? It is said to be the third in the Clooney-Coen “idiot trilogy.” following O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Intolerable Cruelty . Actually, they say this latest flick — about the CIA and hijinks and, well, George Clooney — is no No Country for Old Men . More Madcap Coen than Dark Terrain Coen.
