An apocalyptic sci fi tale set in 2951, this short work was first published in 1889 and is a commentary about American society that probably mirrors the opinions of many today. Taken with a hefty grain of salt, I enjoyed it for its sarcasm and many puns (e.g., Dimph-yoo-chur, Ad-el-pate, Nofuhl). I apologize for the poor formatting. The PRC version is notably ugly. BD is being particularly unkind today and won't even let me define a book author without destroying the formatting elsewhere. ...
