Delays in Medicare reimbursements could be putting small pharmacies in the Mohawk Valley and across the country at risk of closing, U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer said Monday at Colonial Pharmacy. An average pharmacy has to take out a loan of about $70,000 to cope with delayed Medicare Part D prescription drug payments, Schumer, D-N.Y., said.
