Clayton County Public Schools is seeking applicants for the following position(s) for the 2007-2008 school year School Architect JOB DUTIES: This position will be the Architect for the school system responsible for long range planning, needs assessments, and budget development for capital projectsAdditional responsibilities include: coordinating outside consultants and design teams for project development; planning, reviewing, and performing construction administration; participating in long range facility planning for the school system; establishing needs related to any given project; assisting in developing budgets for individual projects and Five-Year Local Facilities Plan; working closely with various departments to create master educational specifications for the school system; working with outside consultants to explain program needs; reviewing pay requests for accuracy and evaluating change orders and proposals; providing monitoring of design progress; assisting staff in plan reviews; providing on site inspections of construction projects; and performing related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Architecture (5 year degree)Master's degree in Architecture is preferred.
