Iowa's two-day sales tax holiday, which began at 12:01 a.m. Friday and continues until 11:59 p.m. today, suspends sales tax on purchases of clothing and shoes. At the Bluffs Wal-Mart, some shoppers arrived Thursday night at 10 or 11 and began shopping, waiting until after midnight to check out, said manager Andy Moneymaker.
