RIO HONDO - Residents and business owners will have a chance to discuss a proposed water rate increases at a public hearing tonight.Under terms of the proposal, residents would be charged $4.37 more for 3,000 gallons of water, while commercial ratepayers would pay $27.34 more for 9,000 gallons.In July, city commissioners said the rate increases had already been approved, but City Administrator Arturo Prida said they are proposed rates.On Wednesday, Prida said the proposal would be voted on after the public hearing. ...
