| Burma (we don't call it Myanmar because that would show we excepted the legitimacy of the military government, which renamed the country Myanmar) enlists hundreds of thousands of child soldiers, commits ethnic cleansing against people from tribes that rebels come from, suppress political freedom and about every Human Right there is. Not long ago we saw the horror of the government's response to the Monks protests. Currently with about 100,000 dead from the cyclone and people so desperate for aid, the government is too suspicious of the west to let much aid in. It is horrific, they are once again murdering their own people. The USA has been acting as if it is giving the most aid, $3million. But the UK are giving $10million. Well done Nick Clegg for calling the international community to be tough with Burma and simply parachute aid down if Burma drags its heels. ... |
