Our Retro ‘120 Second’ Thursdays continue this week, as we showcase a classic franchise that has finally received a well deserved update. Last week, “ Super Dodgeball Brawlers ” was released by Akysys for the Nintendo DS, and it updates the classic Technos Japan title “ Super Dodge Ball .” While there appears to be a glut of upcoming dodgeball games (including one with ninjas and pirates for Xbox Live Arcade), there hasn’t always been this level of interest for the gym class pastime for quite some time. At one point, the NES version of “Super Dodge Ball” was the only one option. With that in mind, take two minutes to remember the first dodgeball game that really shined, “Super Dodge Ball,” in all of its sprite flashing glory. ...
