| Seven local law enforcement agencies who are members of the Calcasieu Full Force DWI Project conducted a DWI checkpoint on July 11 on Hwy. 90 in Sulphur to target individuals driving under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics. Seven hundred twenty-seven (727) vehicles were checked; twenty (20) field sobriety tests were administered; two (2) citations were issued; and the following four (4) people were charged with DWI: Shannon E. Doyle, 32, 221 Norman Doyle Rd., DeQuincy Yolanda D. Porter, 44, 3727 E. Burton St., Sulphur Nicole R. Kelly, 21, 309 Louisiana Ave., Sulphur Michael J. Green, 33, 1109 Truth St., DeQuincy Doyle was also charged with two (2) counts of child endangerment. Participating in this checkpoint were the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office; Louisiana State Police Troop D; Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office; Westlake Police Department; McNeese Police Department; Iowa Police Department; Lake Charles Police Department; and the Sulphur Police Department.
