A powerful car bomb detonated Wednesday outside a police station in northern Spain, killing one officer and wounding four, police said. Police blamed the militant Basque separatist group ETA for the attack. A van packed with explosives detonated before dawn outside a Civil Guard station that also houses officers and their families in Legutiano, a small town near the Basque capital, Vitoria, police said. Two officers were trapped inside the building, and one of them died, said an official with the Basque regional interior ministry.
