 Plans have been unveiled for new and ambitious flights from Leeds/Bradford Airport , according to reports. Major new connections to America and destinations in the Middle East are in the pipeline and could form an important part of plans to boost passenger numbers. The Yorkshire airport hopes to increase its number of destinations from 75 to 100 over the next five years, the Bradford Telegraph and Argus reports. New flights could include services to German financial centres such as Frankfurt and links to new EU member states. Tony Hallwood, commercial and aviation development director at Leeds/Bradford, spoke of the airport's ambitions on the day that a new flight was launched to Pakistan, a development he described as "a milestone in the airport's history". He added: "We want to make sure Leeds Bradford International Airport is an airport that Bradford and the whole region can be really proud of. "We are a growing city region and we need to make sure the airport matches customers' aspirations." ... |
