TODAY-THURSDAY : Paul Simson of Raleigh will attempt to win his third straight N.C. Senior Championship when play begins in the 54-hole event at 8 a.m. at Cedarwood Country Club, 4100 Pineville-Matthews Road. Simson heads the 124-player field that will include 2004-05 champion Robert Kulp Jr. of Winston-Salem, 2007 runner-up David Strawn of Charlotte, 2005 runner-up Bob Desjardins of Matthews and 2006 runner-up Logan Jackson of Winston-Salem.
