Rev. Eugene Tindall encouraged the Neosho High School Class of 2008 to “roll with the changes” as they move on to college, work and other endeavors after high school. Tindall gave the message at Wednesday night’s NHS baccalaureate service at the gymnasium. Tindall is the associate pastor of students at First Baptist Church in Neosho. He moved to Neosho in 1997. During his message, Tindall spoke of how he associates music to everything in his life. It is the soundtrack to his experiences. So, going back to his graduation in 1981, he remembers the REO Speedwagon song, “Roll with the Changes.” “Tonight is a time for celebration and about changes and how to deal with that,” he told the students, dressed in their black graduation gowns and caps with gold trim. “One of the biggest challenges in life is how we deal with those changes. You have seen changes through your time here at Neosho. You have made new friends, and had new teachers. You have seen new construction, and many changes and progress. All kinds of things have changed. When you were in kindergarten, no one thought about us all having cell phones. Now, almost everyone has a cell phone.” Tindall said how students will deal with change is important in the future. “School will change next year,” he said. “You will be in different places.
