We've seen some of the other blogs talking about Neversoft's decision to not include saving failed out band members in Guitar Hero: World Tour . We got a chance to play Guitar Hero: World Tour at PAX and we experienced band members failing out several times. We loved the game, don't get us wrong, but we think this is a mistake. When playing Rock Band at parties, there are often times when people fail out. Most of the time, they are saved and the song continues, but sometimes they fail the whole band out. This is a real party killer. Rock Band 2 includes a "no fail" mode, which should be great for social gatherings. Guitar Hero: World Tour will include no such feature. Several times at PAX, we had our bass or drum player fail us out without any chance to bring him back. What Guitar Hero: World Tour does do, however, is allow players to switch their difficulty level without having to jump back to the song selection screen. ...
