The Wildcats won the first game 20-12 in five innings, then completed a sweep with an 11-10 victory in eight innings in the nightcap. The Orioles (10-13) rallied from huge deficits to get themselves back into both games against a team that had manhandled them in Augusta the week before. The Orioles were shut out 16-0 in the first three innings of the opener, but had their first 14 batters reach base during their fourth inning comeback. Seth Smith got two hits — a single and double — and three RBIs in the frame, while Dereck Chilcott also had three RBIs with a two-run single and a RBI fielders choice.
