| It's happened three times over the past two weeks, so I don't think it's coincidental, but my MacBook Air has been shutting down mysteriously when it should have plenty of battery. I've just been typing along or browsing, when suddenly I hear the click of the hard drive, and then the screen goes blank and the Mac shuts down completely. It also won't restart until I plug it in and hold down the power button (holding it down while not plugged in results in a click, but nothing more). I have noticed that all three times, once the computer restarts, the battery icon shows that it is 47% full. I suspect that something is making the Mac thing it is out of battery when it is almost half full. At least twice I had VMWare Fusion running, but I don't remember about the third time (actually the first). The first two times, I had Chess running, this last time, nothing but Safari and Fusion. I'm current on all updates (OSX and Fusion). Has this happened to anyone else? ... |
