United States Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has arrived in the French capital. The latest leg of his whistle-stop world tour will last just a few hours, during which he will meet with President Nicolas Sarkozy. Aside from a news conference, no public appearance has been scheduled. On Thursday, Mr Obama was given pop-start treatment in Berlin, where a speech he gave in front of the Victory Column drew some 200,000 people.
